You may ask, what is brand identity and why is it important for my organization? Brand identity is the visible elements of a brand, such as color, design, and logo, that identify and distinguish the brand in consumers’ minds. Your organization’s name, logo, promotional materials, and messaging are all super important to help your organization to stand out from the crowd.

What do people think of when they think of your organization? Do they think that you look professional and reliable, or do they even know about you. Creating a strong brand identity will help you not only make a good first impression, but help you gain brand recognition. You know strong brand recognition when you see it, whether it’s a swoosh, a fruit with a bite out of it, or the golden arches, I don’t have to say the companies’ names, you automatically know. That’s a strong brand. Let me help you reach your goals and your potential clients through creating a strong brand identity.

For me, it always starts with the logo. Creating a strong logo sets the tone for a strong brand and is the identifying mark when people think of your organization. So when I’m creating a logo I am very intentional.

Let me quickly walk you through my process Below.

First, I have a meeting with my client and ask them some questions to get to know them and their organization better. I can do it in person or online, but this is such a key step to my process of creating a unique logo that will represent the client’s mission, vision, and values. After the initial meeting, I start by making word lists and brainstorming, because words can drive visuals and spark ideas just as much as images.

After the initial meeting, I start by making word lists and brainstorming, because words can drive visuals and spark ideas just as much as images.

Then I go research and ask a few questions. What else is out there? What are other people doing in that space? What aren’t they doing? What will help my client be relevant but also stand out from the competition?

After that I go to the drawing board, quite literally. I pull out my sketch pad and start sketching out ideas.

Once I have a few good ideas, then I take it digital and carefully craft a few logo options and present them to the client. There is a chance for edits afterward.

Edits are made and a final, beautiful logo is formed.
